Rosslyn Metro to Key Bridge – Roosevelt Island hike – to Rosslyn Metro

1. Rosslyn Metro – to Georgetown end of Key Bridge: Rosslyn Metro Key Bridge to Georgetown
2. Georgetown end of Key Bridge to Roosevelt island: Key Bridge Georgetown to Theodore Roosevelt Island
3. Roosevelt island to Rosslyn Metro: Roosevelt Island to Rossyln Metro Station

Before class on the Oct. 3rd. – photos need to be uploaded before our nest class

1) Post your favorite photo on social media site of your choice with a storytelling reflective description

Pick 6 photos – 1 each for the following and put your photos on your Google Drive or email them to yourself

    1. A photo that best illustrates what you like most about being outdoors
    2. A photo that best illustrates what you like most about hiking
    3. A photo that will convince friends and other students they should hike Roosevelt Island
    4. Selfie with at least one classmate that show where you are
    5. Scenic view that lets people know you are on the key bridge
    6. Scenic view that lets people know you are at Roosevelt Island
    7. Shadow or reflection
    8. Close up
    9. Insect, bird, plant, tree or animal – determine what it is e.g. oak tree or dragonfly or etc.
    10. A creative, self-expressive photo – unusual lighting and/or framing and/or camera angle

3) Create a new post and add your 7 photos using “insert media” and “upload media” set to “large size”  or “Full Size” if large is not an option

In the post under each photograph: type one of the following that best adds meaning and storytelling to your photographs:

  1. Quote – cited
  2. Factoid
  3. Proverb
  4. Song lyric or line from a poem – cited
  5. An anecdote about taking the photo

5) Add a screen capture of a social media with one or more of your photos and how many “likes” etc.
