  • National War Memorial-
    • Caption: This was taken from the ground at a title angle from underneath an archway at the exit of the memorial. At the entrance, a wall of the monument says, “They fought together as brothers-in-arms. They died together and now they sleep side by side.To them we have a solo obligation”.
    • An unusual camera angle:

  • Martin Luther King Memorial-
    • Caption: Martin Luther king once said, “I was a drum major for justice, peace, and righteousness”.
    • Selfie with at least one classmate:

  •  Korean War Veterans Memorial-

  • Lincoln Memorial-
    • Caption: Written above Lincoln’s head are the words, “In this temple, as in the hearts of the people for whom he saved the union, the memory of Abraham Lincoln is enshrined forever”.
    • Closeup:

  • Vietnam Veterans Memorial-
    • The trees are casting a shadow one end of the memorial but letting light through further down to show the reflections of the people walking past it. My great grandfather served in Vietnam so his name is written somewhere along this wall.
    • Abstraction (shadow & reflection):
