How do you start a new student club/organization?
Whether you are joining a current student club or starting a new one, getting involved is one of the best ways to get connected at Marymount University. In order to start a new club, group leaders should:
- Review the MU Student Organization Manual;
- Identity an advisor (faculty or staff);
- Create a constitution;
- Sign-up 10 members to join the group;
- Elect an executive board to manage the organization.
The information is then submitted to the Office of Student Engagement and members of the group’s executive board are required to meet with a representative from the Student Life team to discuss forming a new group. New student clubs are accepted once in the Spring and once in the Fall. If you have any questions, you can email email@example.com or call (703)284-1611.
