All new undergraduate students, including new first-year and transfer students, are required to take both AlcoholEdu and Sexual Assault Prevention for Undergraduate courses. All new graduate and second-degree nursing students are required to take Sexual Assault Prevention for Graduate Students. Your Marymount Portal is configured with the correct course(s) for you.
As a university rooted in the educational tradition of the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary (RSHM), Marymount University is committed to the wellness, health, and safety of the campus community. As such, we feel it is important to provide to education on issues of national concern: substance abuse and sexual and interpersonal misconduct, including sexual assault, stalking, and dating violence.
Marymount University has partnered with EverFi, a company whose mission it is to help students address critical life skills such as alcohol abuse prevention, sexual assault prevention, and financial literacy, in high schools and higher education institutions across the country. Each year over a half million students complete these courses. As part of our comprehensive prevention program for new students, Marymount University expects you to complete AlcoholEdu and Sexual Assault Prevention for Undergraduates prior to your arrival for Orientation. These online courses will empower you to make well-informed decisions about issues that affect your college years and beyond.
How to login into the courses:
- Always sign in at: my.marymount.edu
- Your login is your Marymount network id which is typically your three initials and the last five of your student ID (e.g., abc12345). Your password was set by you when you established your account. Click reset/forgot password, if you cannot remember your password.
- Once you log in, under “Sign-On Links,” you will see a link to AlcoholEdu & Sexual Assault Prevention for Undergraduates. Click that link and you will enter the course.(see screen shots below)Remember, you must complete both courses.
- Each course is divided into multiple modules. You can complete the courses in multiple sessions. Your status is saved after you complete a module. If you are an undergraduate student, once you complete AlcoholEdu, please review the home screen of EverFi and ensure that you complete Sexual Assault Prevention for Undergraduates
