There are several privacy levels on the Commons.

To make the whole site private:

1. In the dashboard to the site, click on “Settings”

2. Then click on “Reading”

3. Under “Site Visibility” select the desired privacy level

To make a single post or page private:

1. Click on “Posts” or “Pages” in your dashboard.

To collaborate on a group project or class website, you can create a new blog and add additional users to the blog/website.

To create a new website:

Login to your user account
On the Commons homepage, click on “Blogs”

Select “Create a Site”

Enter the site name and title, and select your privacy level.
Congratulations, you now have a new site!

Blogging puts the emphasis on content that changes regularly. If you would like your site to look more like a website, you may want to have a static homepage. Here are instructions from WordPress support on how to make your homepage show a static pages instead of the latests posts.

If you want your site to look more like a website then a blog, you may want to turn off the ability for viewers to comment.

Login into the admin dashboard of your site
