You’ve got some nice postings here that reflect on class, travel, and your final project ideas. I liked the way you linked in supplemental videos when you were planning your travel. Did you post your recording in Rome? If so, steer me in that direction since I didn’t see it. Your final project sounds workable–you’ll probably want to focus on 1 specific scene as it’s adapted in 2 or 3 modern versions OR focus on 2 or 3 scenes in 1 modern version in order to keep your project narrow, focused, and manageable. To an extent, you can let your critical sources decide that for you–if you find several sources that discuss a specific scene that might tell you your next step.

Grace,
The most interesting piece in your project proposal is your comparison of Romeo and Juliet to loved chick flicks like the movies you mentioned. I think it is clever to bring in movies that involve the love and tragedy aspect that Shakespeare achieved in the play.
Your MLA format includes all the information needed but too much information such as the vol., no., and pp. Just include the numbers of the vol., no, and pp. Also, only include the year it was published. Make sure that book titles, films, and websites are in italics and articles, chapters, webpages, and if the source is part of a larger work are in quotation marks.
The author’s names are placed correctly in your citation which is great. You also have all the correct information needed to have a complete correct MLA citation.
A source I’d recommend to you a book or article that might focus on the love language between Romeo and Juliet.
