Last weekend I did a charity bike ride.

It was a good time…. until I fell off the bike – at the midpoint where about sixty people had stopped at a winery to rest. I believe everybody saw me…

I scraped my elbow, hand, and knee.  So I added embarrassment to the physical pain. 😉

I learned my lesson: you cannot be raising your arm to signal turning and braking at the same time! Because that means you are only using the front break….And what happens is, the bike stops, you fly over your bike, and the bike lands on top of you…

Anyway, I was able to regroup and enjoy the rest of the bike ride. I would do it again!

The first time you have to sign up for the new-roder-16-mile.

But next time I am doing 43 miles so that I can ride by the water. It was beautiful!
