Springtime in Eastern Europe

Dobry Den!

Hello, everyone. The Czech Republic is so amazing I love it here I don’t want to go back to America. The culture here is very different but you get used to it after living here in a few months. For instance, the people here are not the friendliest but they have their reasons for and I don’t blame them. They tend to keep things clean and quiet such as the surroundings, the streets, the metro etc. The scenery is wonderful, full of many parks, gardens, and trails. You name it we’ve got it. There are so many type of parks: dog parks, children’s parks, beer gardens, farmers markets, and more. This week I went to two parks: Letina Park and Parukaka. Continue reading

The Nitty-Gritty

Dobery Den! My friends

So, its been a week since my spring break and not that much has happened. Well, actually, I lied. It finally got warm in Prague, which is great because it was a brutal winter compared to living in the East Coast of the U.S. I am so glad that spring is here. It’s my favorite season of the year and it gives me the motivation to go out and see new things in Prague. Continue reading

Home Away from Home

Dobery Den!

So, this week on my spring break I took a lot of trips, mostly day trips to the majority of Western-Europe. I would take either a train or car to these places as it was more affordable to do so. Continue reading

Spring Break

Dobery Den

So spring break just started and first stop on my mini-adventure is Bruxelles. You might wonder why a pick that location, it’s because I have family there. I haven’t see my family in years, and it would be disrespectful if I didn’t stop by and see them lol. Plus, is a good way to go explore Western-Europe and also get the opportunity to have free room and board. Continue reading

A Touch of Cold

Dobery Den!

Hey there, it’s been a while. So, last week it officially snowed in Prague for the first time. Let me tell you it was nice in the beginning, seeing the snow and touching the ground was relaxing, but when it was time to go outside and go to class, it was brutal. Just imaging walking in the sticky and icy snow; mind you in Prague you don’t get cancelled classes or closed schools. Continue reading

A Month Home

Dobery Den!

Hello again it has officially been a month since I left America. As you can see a lot has happened in my first month in Prague. I have experienced new things and learned a lot about myself as an individual. I am most grateful that I am able to be doing this at such a young age rather than later on in life. Finally, I feel like I can call this my home. Continue reading

Change of Heart

Ahoj my friends,

This might be one of best weeks so far and it also might be the cheesy blog I’ve ever written. I met up with my good friend named Aiden, who is from Gibraltar, Spain, and he took me out to meet a couple of his friends. We went to a shisha bar and talk for hours about life and being from different countries. It was fun; I normally wouldn’t do this on a Monday night, but here I am trying new things. It was fun hanging out with them and I hope to meet more people like them. Continue reading

Winter Sadness

Dobry Den!

So, it been a week since I have been in Prague and I am so glad to say that I am so happy that I have pushed myself to travel abroad for several months. I am so excited to do new things and see new places and meet new people. Prague is so lovely and beautiful; the landscaping here is very ecstatic and elegant with a hint of modern buildings. I just wish that the people here are warmer and friendlier, but they are not, and I get it because it is a part of their culture.

My Journey to Prague

Saying goodbye is the hardest thing to do, but starting all over in a new place is even harder. My journey starts with traveling from D.C. to Turkey to Prague. I was rushing to say my goodbyes to my friends and family since my plane to Istanbul turkey was leaving in under 30 minutes. Continue reading
