Magnificat, the English Department’s annual journal of undergraduate nonfiction writing, has recently published their 2013 edition!
Congratulations to the following students who had their work published this year: Christine Nelson, Melany Su, Cyndi Trang, Angela White, Hajung Kim, Payton Bodecker, Courtney Deal, Emily Giroux, and Rebecca Olexson.
If you are interested in reading the print version, drop by the Arts & Sciences office or Gailhac 2004 to pick up your copy, or send a note to email@example.com to have one mailed to your campus address.
There is also an online version, along with all past editions that can be found at: http://mublog.marymount.edu/MUBlog/magnificat/.
Although Magnificat is published each April, faculty advisers Dr. Sarah Ficke and Dr. Katie Peebles are always accepting submissions for the following school year. Students can consider submitting any nonfiction writing from classes completed at Marymount University; past issues have published Composition I and II essays, work from The Writing Process and Creative Nonfiction, analytical essays from literature classes, and work from philosophy, biology, and art history classes. Submission guidelines can be found on the Magnificat website.
Magnificat is also searching for editors to help form a review and editorial board. Information about how to join this team for the 2014 edition can also be found on the website.
