The mission of Marymount University’s Cyber Center is to provide a focus for faculty, students, and the community to collaborate, across disciplines, to understand the cyber challenges that the nation faces with the objective of developing an effective workforce to meet these challenges.

The Cyber Center is charged with facilitating community awareness to the advantages of IT as well as cybersecurity threats and countermeasures. The center seeks to establish partnerships, support information technology research, and assist development and sharing of resources with other colleges, businesses and not-for-profit organizations
Marymount University is a Department of Homeland Security/National Security Agency Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance Education (CAE/IAE).
Marymount University is a recipient school under the CyberCorps: Scholarship for Service, receiving a grant from the National Science Foundation to award 4 two-year scholarships per year.
