Communication major, Melanie Martinez (Class of 2023) moderated a panel discussion with local Latina leaders on Monday, September 14th. The panel was hosted by @MUstudentlife_ and @MUSaintsCareer to kick off the celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month.
Communication Major, Lauren Galdeano, has been awarded a $4000 scholarship for next year from the Society of Professional Journalists Sigma Delta Chi Foundation of Washington, DC. She is one of only five students in the entire DC area to have been selected for the scholarship.
Lauren is a member of Marymount’s chapter of the National Communication Honor Society Lambda Pi Eta. She is also the Managing Editor of Marymount’s student-produced newspaper, The Banner, and will become the Editor-in-Chief next year. We are very proud of her and her accomplishments
