Spring 2017 CMD Courses Host Guest Speakers on Strategic Communication, Public Affairs, and Digital Media

During the Spring 2017 semester, three CMD courses hosted expert practitioners from the fields of strategic communication and public affairs, and digital media.

On Tuesday, April 18, CMD 100 Introduction to Media Communication hosted Ms. Tal Woliner, Vice President at DC strategic public affairs firm Story Partners, who spoke with students about her work experience, career trajectory, and advice for students wishing to pursue careers in communication and public affairs or public relations.

On Thursday, April 20, CMD 315 Writing for Digital Media and CMD 206 Introduction to Public Relations jointly hosted Mr. Ali Al Shabnan, a Marymount alumnus who graduated in May 2016 with a degree in communication. He interned at the U.S.-Saudi Arabian Business Council during his senior year and is currently works as a marketing & communications assistant at the Jordan Tourism Board, where he works on campaigns to get Americans and Canadians to travel to Jordan.
