I just love how your blog is set up! I know the posts are mostly on writing but I figured some feed back on the blog is also useful.
    Anyway,

everything is so easy to access and organize! It’s fantastic!

    Amanda,
You have a really nice selection of writing styles and insights here. When combined with your self-study, a picture of a late-stage drafter also emerges. Some of your most interesting pieces in my opinion come from a 2-part late stage draft process (writing early stage drafts seems more of a challenge for you). Your “significant person” and “imitation” essays both have very different styles & perspectives as they run through their draft/revision processes. I’d encourage you to use quick journal-style drafts like your creative entries to then help you “incubate” on a topic and produce the one-stage late drafts that you like. That might build in some more choices for you as a writer. And don’t be afraid to produce a misshapen early draft at times in order not to be so wedded to it, but rather to use drafting as a chance to play with ideas in a rough, unfinished form that then lets you incubate further. You should consider submitting some work from this portfolio to BlueInk or Magnficat. My personal nomination would be your grandmother’s poem–perhaps with a tweak here and there– for BlueInk.
