AA 274 Fashion Industry and Its Promotion / England
Mondays & Thursdays 2-3:15pm
During this course students will identify global and domestic fashion markets and obtain a historic overview of the fashion industry. Through participation in this course students will develop an analysis of sources and market trends and gain a deep understanding of the overall organization of the fashion industry. This course is for freshmen and sophomore fashion students only.

Faculty: Dr. Pamela Stoessell
With expertise in visual merchandising, textile design, and color marketing and design, Dr. Stoessell has been part of Marymount’s faculty since 1975. She has made several presentations at annual conferences of the International Textile and Apparel Association on such topics as “Research and Analysis for Color Forecasting” and “Concept and Design for an Original Store/Boutique.” Dr. Stoessell also serves as faculty advisor to Marymount’s annual student-produced fashion show Portfolio in Motion, the culminating academic project for every student in Marymount’s Fashion programs. She is also an advisor to MU’s Fashion Club. Active with leading industry organizations, Dr. Stoessell is a member of The Color Marketing Group, The Fashion Group International, and the International Textile and Apparel Association.

The Center for Global Education will register students for this course after the student has successfully submitted the online study abroad application. Full-time students do not need to pay additional tuition for this course provided they are registered for no more than 18 credits during the spring semester, including this course. Full-time students enrolled for more than 18 credits are subject to over-enrollment fees.
